An astute catalyst for change and an unwavering advocate for equity, LaToya Logan, LISW-S, is a clinical social worker, trauma therapist, educator, and systems-level strategist committed to helping individuals and communities align their values with meaningful action. She is the founder and executive director of Project LIFT Services, a social justice and prevention agency, and the visionary behind Human Architect Studio, a practice dedicated to designing lives, organizations, and communities rooted in wellness, accountability, and joy.
LaToya’s work is grounded in a core belief: that people thrive when systems are humane, culturally responsive, and intentionally designed to support dignity and healing. Through Human Architect Studio, she brings together clinical insight, community practice, and transformational learning to support personal growth, professional development, and organizational change. Her approach centers the understanding that wellness is not solely an individual responsibility, but a collective and structural one—shaped by policies, environments, and historical realities.
Throughout her career, LaToya has demonstrated a deep commitment to advocacy, prevention, and community education across the state of Ohio. She specializes in trauma-informed, culturally inclusive, and recovery-oriented practices that foster sustained independence while disrupting pathways to incarceration, homelessness, and mental health crises driven by systemic and institutional harm. Her work intentionally addresses the intersections of racial trauma, behavioral health, and social inequity, translating complex challenges into actionable strategies for healing and growth.
Following the founding of Project LIFT Services in 2016, LaToya served on the Cleveland Community Police Commission from 2016 to 2022, advancing police reform with a clear focus on accountability and transformational change. During her tenure, she was elected three times as co-chair and also served as Accountability Committee Chair and Training Review Liaison to the Cleveland Division of Police.
LaToya has also held significant leadership within the National Association of Social Workers, Ohio Chapter, serving as Region 3 Director and Board Member from 2017 to 2021. In this role, she championed efforts to confront and dismantle racial trauma within the behavioral health field by advocating for tangible, anti-racist practices. She continues her service as a NASW-OH National Delegate Assembly Member and as part of the Anti-Racist/Anti-Oppression Committee.
A certified Anti-Oppressive Informed Practitioner, LaToya is deeply invested in transformational learning and in cultivating the next generation of social work and behavioral health professionals. She serves as an adjunct professor and field instructor at Case Western Reserve University’s Mandel School for Applied Social Sciences, a clinical preceptor at the University of Cincinnati, and a field instructor at Cleveland State University’s School of Social Work.
Her leadership and impact have been widely recognized. LaToya was named NASW Ohio Chapter’s 2021 Social Worker of the Year and Rising Star of the Year by the Ohio Child Welfare Training Program in 2022 for excellence in training and professional development. A proud Detroit native now based in Ohio, she holds degrees from Michigan State University and Case Western Reserve University, and is a graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program at Cuyahoga Community College.
At the heart of LaToya’s work—across Project LIFT Services and Human Architect Studio—is a simple but powerful mission: to help people and systems become more intentional, more just, and more aligned with the humanity they are meant to serve.
